Many local companies have already taken the opportunity to apply for this year’s Pegasus. The motto this year: “Invest in the future”.
The Ohlsdorf company, among others, applied KIAS Recycling (in the picture the managing directors Christian Zirgoi right and Ernst Deisl left) with its old tire recycling plant. According to its own statements, this recycles 30,000 tons of old tires every year. “New products are made from the individual components of a tire – in the spirit of a circular economy,” says the company. This is used, for example, to produce plastic coatings for sports field construction. KIAS Recycling applied in the innovation emperor category, but the Pegasus is also awarded in the lighthouse, success story and future hope categories. An entrepreneur of the year can also be nominated.
