This work will be done by Law 24,076, and it is of special relevance within the priority works framed in the Necessity and Urgency Decree (DNU) 76/22 and included in the Program to Transport Argentine Gas (“Transport.Ar”), among which is the President Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline (GPNK), specified in Enargas in a statement.
“Within this scheme, the authorization issued by Enargas and the regulatory framework carried out, due to the fact that Ieasa is a third party interested in transportation, is of fundamental importance to enable said company to carry out the actions that it must undertake and that it is carrying out to comply with the commands of the DNU”highlighted a statement from the regulatory body.
In the recitals of the aforementioned DNU it was specified that “The `President Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline` is a core component of the set of works aimed at expanding the capacity of the gas transport system and optimizing its use, because together with the `Mercedes-Cardales Gas Pipeline` it will consolidate the interconnection of existing transport systems, providing greater reliability and security to the supply of current demands”.
In this regard, the comptroller of Enargas, Federico Bernal, pointed out, in line with Ieasa, that “The Mercedes-Cardales Gas Pipeline configures an Interconnection gas pipeline that allows the transfer of gas from one Transportation System to another in a bidirectional manner and, consequently, allows the delivery in the North System of volumes injected in the Austral or Neuquén basin and vice versa, providing the Transportation System as a whole with greater supply reliability in the Delivery Zone with the highest consumption in our country”.
