Together with the Vienna Controller Institute, OÖN awarded two partial scholarships for the part-time Certified Controller course, each worth EUR 4,775. The jury did not take the decision lightly. The choice fell on Katharina Fixl (33) and Leonhard Pfandlsteiner (39). The handover took place this week virtually by Cathrin Leßlhumer (Program Management Controller Institute) and OÖN Career Sales Manager Verena Hanisch.
Katharina Fixl has been working at Sihga Befestigungstechnik in Ohlsdorf since graduating from high school in 2008 – first in order processing, then she acquired knowledge in bookkeeping and payroll accounting and is currently in charge of the accounting department. What do you expect from the course? “Our managing director approached me with the wish to set up controlling,” says Fixl. “I expect to be able to put the things I’m learning to good use in practice.”
“Time for something new”
Leonhard Pfandlsteiner made a professional change of discipline at the turn of the year: he was active in the areas of marketing and product development for 13 years, including at A1 and Salinen Austria in Ebensee. “Now it was time to do something new,” says the 39-year-old, who has always had an affinity for numbers. He has been working in controlling at Salinen since January and is looking forward to the “professional training” in the course.
Registrations for the “Certified Controller” course of the Controller Institute are still possible. The modules can also be booked individually. The course starts on April 27th in Linz.
