The result gave a $707 million deficit for Argentina, since exports totaled US$696.2 million, against imports of US$1,403.2 million.
The country presided over by López Obrador ranked seventh in the table of suppliers worldwide, and third at the regional level, behind Brazil and Paraguay.
On the contrary, the trade balance with Saudi Arabia and Poland was positive. With the first, exports were registered for US$850.5 million and imports for US$317.6 million, while with the second sales accumulated some US$788.6 million and exceeded a total sale of US$235.9 millions.
Taking into account trade with Asian countries, exports to Saudi Arabia were the eighth highest. In Europe, exports to Poland were the fifth highest, behind shipments to the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Germany.
In terms of products, Poland was among the main destinations for peanut exports, one of the most important regional economies in the country, with headquarters in Córdoba, and tea. For its part, Saudi Arabia was an important destination for citrus (excluding lemon) and chicken. Likewise, sales to Mexico of sunflowers, auto parts and steel products stood out.
