He also highlighted the “infinite opportunities for collaboration between both countries” and did not hesitate to remark that the Chilean Executive Power will seek to “provide continuity and deepen this State policy.” In this sense, and within the framework of the meeting, he highlighted the relevance of strengthen “productive chains, both of goods and services, which will contribute to the construction of a true link between the different companies”.

To its turn, Kulfas He valued that in the years of democracy that both countries have had, “a solid economic complementation has been built, which has allowed us to sustain an important commercial association” and pointed out: “Bilateral trade has remained above US$ 3,000 million per year , and in 2021 it grew by more than 40% and exceeded US$4.9 billion, with very significant increases in both our exports and our imports compared to 2019. Chile is also the fifth largest foreign investor in Argentina.”

The head of the Productive Development portfolio emphasized that this is “a great opportunity to think about complementary strategies because Argentina and Chile have in abundance what the world demands at this stage.” The pandemic, he continued, laid bare the vulnerability of countries in the face of increasingly frequent production disruptions. “We need to consolidate closer and more resilient value chains for strategic goods. We face a context where the security, stability and predictability of supply chains have become as important as economic efficiency. In this context, peace and stability in our region they are also an economic asset,” he said.

For his part, at the opening of the meeting, coffee He affirmed that both countries need to “generate greater ties” on our integration, which have cultural and social aspects, but also a deep economic bond. “Today we are here to develop the bilateral relationship and the task that we have between all of us. This is the trigger to share experiences and visualize opportunities so that we can generate new mechanisms of cooperation, exchange and brotherhood,” she remarked.

In addition, he said that the first visit of the new president of Chile, the youngest in the history of the region, writes the pages “of a relaunch of the relationship and a new time between both countries, and of a new Latin America that, by linking bilaterally, also strengthens the whole.”

The authorities presented their perspectives on the existing potentialities to promote binational productive chains that propitiate an improvement in production, employment and the global international insertion of both countries.

Representatives of more than 40 companies from the medical equipment and pharmaceutical products sectors took part in the meeting from the private sector; energetic; metallurgical; knowledge and technology-based services; food and drinks; industrial and manufacturing; trade; Transport and logistics; mining; satellite; forestry and paper; cooperatives and entrepreneurs and businesswomen.
