The objective is for this initiative to establish reference prices in local businesses, in order to reduce the dispersion of values ​​that exists between these stores and the large supermarket chains.

Likewise, this proposal will be coordinated with the areas responsible for trade in all the provinces, within the framework of the Federal Council for Internal Trade (COFECI), to achieve correct monitoring of prices and supply by all the links in the marketing chain. until reaching the table of every Argentine home.

In the same sense, Internal Trade will work together with the municipalities to guarantee the effective fulfillment of the programs in the different territories.

On the other hand, the National Government added to the comprehensive +Care Prices program an offer of agreed prices for fresh vegetables, guaranteeing availability and aiming to install a reference in the gondolas, acting as an anchor for the prices of the most consumed goods in the greengrocery category. .

In this sense, a basket of fresh fruit, vegetables and vegetables is incorporated for sale in large retail and wholesale supermarket chains, also available from tomorrow.

This category will have monthly renewals with updates of both prices and products, to respect the seasonality of vegetables and that the offer is always fresh and of nutritional quality.

For April, the selected products and prices (per kilo) are: potatoes (black) at $49, onions at $69, tomatoes (round) at $199, lettuce (creole or nasturtium) at $160 and apples (royal gala) at $180.

The intention of the basket, in addition to guaranteeing access to the consumption of fresh, healthy and quality food, is to guide the establishment of reference prices for consumers in highly volatile products, which undergo variations in all marketing channels. . At the same time, it seeks to promote seasonal consumption and the fruits and vegetables that are most demanded by Argentine families.

The selected fruits and vegetables will be available, initially, in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (AMBA), every day, in the Día, Walmart, Changomas, Jumbo, Vea, Disco, Coto, Carrefour and Makro supermarkets. .
