“For the first time, Tierra del Fuego will have a fund to expand its productive matrix and fulfill the long-standing desire to have a more heterogeneous production with concrete tools that we will work on together with local industry players and representatives of the province” assured the minister Matias Kulfas.
The Fund will be financed by a contribution from the beneficiary companies of the industrial sub-regime, which will imply greater well-being for all Fuegian people, through the creation of jobs in new sectors.
The resolution details the selection process of the projects to be financed, the obligations of the applicants, the functioning of the Executive Committee that administers it and the different tools that the Fund has, such as: loans, Non-Reimbursable Contributions, Capital Contributions , discount interest rates.
Meanwhile, the Resolution 228 of the Secretariat of Industry, Knowledge Economy and External Commercial Management published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, establishes the conditions under which the actors of the sub-regime, which was extended last year until December 31, 2038, can adhere to the extension until April 24 inclusive and maintain the benefits of the promotion, establishing what are the mechanisms to make the contribution to the FAMP – Fueguina, as well as direct investment in new activities.
Likewise, the regulatory norm establishes the mechanisms to present new productive projects linked to electronic products and components, equipment and technology and establishes the mechanisms to access additional tax benefits for incremental exports made from the island, helping to increase the competitiveness of their production.
