In the monthly comparison, the total net demand of the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) showed a growth of 3.1%, although in this case it influenced that February has three days less than March.
In the classification by type of user, only commercial users (representing 29% of total consumption) registered an interannual increase of 1.5%, while there were decreases among residential users of 4.2% (42% of the total) and 0.7% among industrialists (29%).
It was recorded that there were fifteen provinces or distribution companies that had increases in demand: La Rioja (10%), San Juan (9%), Catamarca (6%), San Luis (6%), Mendoza (5%), EDEA (5%), Jujuy (4%), Misiones (4% ), Salta (4%), Santa Cruz (4%), EDES (3%), Formosa (2%), Edelap (2%), Corrientes (1%) and Córdoba (1%).
For its part, in twelve departments there was a falls: Chubut (-11%), Entre Ríos (-9%), La Pampa (-7%), Santa Fe (-6%), Chaco (-6%), Santiago del Estero (-3%), EDEN (-3%), Río Negro (-1%), Tucumán (-1%) and Neuquén (-1%), in addition to the two distributors of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA).
In this case, the region, which represented 30% of the country’s total consumption in March, had a drop of 3.4%according to the records of the Administrative Company of the Electricity Wholesale Market (Cammesa), with retractions of 3.7% in the coverage area of Edenor and 3% in Edesur.
