With 20.1 billion kilowatt hours, more green electricity was fed into the general power grid than ever before. Wind power in particular accounted for more than half of this.
According to supplier information, green electricity production in Germany was higher this month than it had ever been in April.
According to an evaluation by the energy company Eon, the systems for renewable energies in Germany fed a total of around 20.1 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity into the general power grid up to and including April 28. The company announced that the previous record for April was in 2020. At that time, around 19.7 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity were fed into the power grid.
Wind turbines make a large contribution to the feed-in
Above all, a lot of wind power at the beginning of the month and an overall solid photovoltaic output would have ensured the maximum value. Wind turbines alone fed in around 11.1 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity up to and including April 28, more than ever in April.
