Government plans to spend almost  million to modernize the heliports of Quinta de Olivos and Chapadmalal

The goal of General Secretariat of the Presidency is to modernize the signaling artifacts of both heliports: the open tender establishes the installation of a total of 38 medium intensity L 861 semi-recessed green edge beacons from FATO approved by ANAC; 20 medium intensity L 861 elevated or semi-recessed clear alignment edge beacons approved by ANAC; 23 surface reflectors; 12 low intensity L 860 semi-recessed clear entrance edge beacons approved by ANAC; 14 semi-recessed blue L 860 low-intensity beacons on the edge of the parking position approved by ANAC; two illuminated and retractable windsock for heliport; and a solar L 810 hazard beacon.

In addition, it seeks to acquire two meteorological stations to measure atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, wind speed, humidity and temperature, key indicators when drawing up a flight plan.

The firm in question quoted a total of 7,755,900 pesos for the work to be carried out at both heliports.

SEPAC Aviación defines itself on its website as “a company whose mission is to be a source of value solutions for the design and planning of aerodromes and heliports and to provide equipment for visual aids and for rescue and firefighting of entirely national manufacture.”

The heliport of the Residencia de Olivos is used almost daily by President Alberto Fernández, while the one in Chapadmalal is used for trips made by the president or any national or provincial official to the Tourist Complex of the Buenos Aires town located a few kilometers away. from Mar del Plata.
