According to the report, during the month of April, the companies in the sector liquidated a total of US$3,171,793,606. It represents 6% more compared to March and accumulates so far in 2022 (first quarter) a total of u$s11,097,874,774.

Among them, they detailed, there were “international price fluctuations, supply retraction, different volume and protein value of the crops, climatic conditions, holidays, union force measures, regulatory modifications, tariff and para-tariff barriers from abroad, phytosanitary requirements or of quality from other countries”.

The country’s main export product is soybean meal (14.2% of the total) which is an industrialized by-product generated by this agro-industrial complex, which currently has a high idle capacity, close to 50%. The second most exported product in 2021, according to INDEC, was the corn (11%) while the third was soybean oil (6.9%).
