“At the end of 2019 we received a tax scheme that was very regressive, but based on the modifications we made to taxes on Income and Personal Assets, we sought to give the tax system progressiveness,” the official emphasized.

In this framework, the official highlighted the relevance of direct exchange with economic science professionals. “They are allies to improve the link with taxpayers. We celebrate being able to do it again in person and touring the interior of the country because we are interested in knowing first-hand the different regional realities,” said Marcó del Pont. “We already have more than 105 digital procedures in AFIP and 90 in Customs. We are going to advance in this policy of simplification for taxpayers,” said the head of the agency.
Representatives from the Argentine Federation of Professional Councils in Economic Sciences (FACPCE) participated in the meeting; Argentine Federation of Graduates in Economic Sciences (FAGCE), of the Professional Councils of Economic Sciences of Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, La Rioja and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CPCECABA); the Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies (AAEF) and the Argentine Chamber of Professional Economic and Tax Studies (CEPET).
The business sector was represented by members of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CAC), the Argentine Confederation of Medium-sized Enterprises (CAME); the Chamber of Exporters of the Argentine Republic (CERA); the Coordinator of Food Products Industries (COPAL); the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE) and other local business entities such as the Association of Wine Cooperatives of Mendoza (Acovi); the Federation of Argentine Wine Cooperatives (Fecovita).
