“We need to know what the dimension of the creative industries is in order to reach all the links in the value chain that are precarious, outside tax records and the world of work. In conjunction with ARBA we want to build that database and bet on the intelligence of the State,” Saintout said in a statement.
He added that the culture “creates work and we have an important demand but not the effective map”, with which that is what ARBA is going to “provide”.
In this sense, Girard stressed that actions are being sought “that facilitate the development of cultural policies, making available the capabilities and information that the Agency has, so that we can advance in knowing who are the subjects of the beneficiary policies and the needs that exist in order to have the possibility of assisting those who need it”.
In addition, he argued that “We can share the registered register and work on a project to expand the activity, and, as we see the value chain of the creative and cultural industries, continue advancing with the formalization of the sector.”
Meanwhile, the undersecretary of Creative Industries, Cristian Scarpetta, remarked that one of the problems “that has always existed to generate policies from the industries is the lack of precise information”, and stressed that “ARBA is going to provide this data on the companies located in the province of Buenos Aires and situation”.
Some of the points of the agreement are information on registered cultural establishments, analysis of tax structures and the construction of macroeconomic data to improve the characterization of the sectors.
The Creative Industries refer to the productive sectors whose main input is creativity and that are related to art and cultureand in the province of Buenos Aires the Undersecretary of Creative Industries and Cultural Innovation manages and designs programs aimed at productive development and job creation in five sectors: audiovisual, design, editorial, music and videogames.
