It is necessary to formalize digitization in logistics

This process generates delays and inconveniences in the fluidity, giving rise to speculation and the generation of ineffective alternative ways to make effective the control of expiration of the documents.

Such control is essential. For this reason, it is essential that access to the information of each of these documents be digitized both for transport companies and for those that demand logistics services. The centralization of documentation through open data is also key, to make the process more fluid and productive, and also to guarantee the control that favors compliance with each document in a timely manner.

In the second question, the transport and logistics sector urgently needs to implement the digital remittance for all activities, and that through the adhesion of the provincial treasuries, a unified regulation is coordinated.

In this way, technology will be a fundamental support for effective collection, controls and health aspects in relation to documentation management.

Today a cargo generator can check their stocks, decide on producing more or less, track their shipments and see where they are in the country. At the same time, a customer who buys through any platform can also see where their purchase is, if it is on the way or if it has already been delivered. But the entities that regulate logistics still validate these operations on paper.

We carry out different procedures through FAETyL in the AFIP, mainly through the digital remittance. This topic has already developed solutions for other industries; for example, it is being implemented for the meat industry and for agriculture. Today, in the post-pandemic, it is a necessity that is already natural in the business models that are being generated.

Its advantages are undeniable. It favors tax control, preventing more than one trip from being made with a single paper remittance, and facilitating cross-digital monitoring between load givers, carriers and receivers.

The possibility of having digital historical archives makes auditing and the possibility of electronic crosschecking with invoices more efficient. It also allows sales to be closed immediately, with a direct impact on tax collection and billing to customers of logistics and transport operators. On the contrary, through the physical remittance, many transactions made towards the end of the month are taxed the month following the actual delivery date.

In addition, digitalization eliminates the physical contact of the documentation between the cargo giver, the carrier and the final recipient in times of health care and the unnecessary use of paper. It also reduces the responsibility of the drivers regarding the preservation of the paper remittance, avoiding breakage or loss.

Finally, it facilitates the control of the authorities, who can access and validate each transfer by simply scanning a QR code.
