The national government ordered an increase in gas and electricity rates from June 1which will not consider the subsidy segmentation which is still being worked on.
The Secretary of Energy, led by Darío Martínez, issued a resolution this Friday so that the Enargas and the ENRE order the increases, which will be between 18.5% and 25% for gas, according to the region of the country, and 16% for electricity.
In turn, this Saturday it became known, through the publication of the decree in the Official Gazette, that the national government ordered a new system of access to foreign currency for the incremental production of hydrocarbonswhich seeks to encourage increased oil and gas production by making access to the foreign exchange market more flexible for companies in the sector.
