In some regions, the 9-euro ticket is not offered digitally by the local transport association. The Association of German Transport Companies has therefore released its own app.
The Association of German Transport Companies (VDV) now has its own sales app for the so-called 9-euro monthly ticket. Interested parties can buy tickets for June, July and August there since this Monday, as the association announced. “This means that new customers in particular now have the opportunity to purchase the 9-euro ticket via app in whose home region the ticket has not yet been offered via app or other digital means,” it said.
The app is called “9-Euro-Ticket” and can be found on the usual platforms. With the launch of the app, however, the VDV is comparatively late. Deutsche Bahn, transport associations and companies started selling tickets last Monday or even earlier.
The demand is great. Since then, hundreds of thousands of monthly tickets have been sold through Deutsche Bahn’s digital channels alone. With the 9-euro monthly ticket, passengers can use local public transport throughout Germany in June, July and August.
