The study was produced by his organizational consulting brand Talent Solutions in partnership with Everest Group, after surveying senior HR leaders across various geographies, industries and company sizes.
As part of the labor market impacts, the pandemic forced organizations to think about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) more holistically. As the economic recovery continues to pick up pace, it is critical that companies be able to attract, hire and retain workers from diverse groups.
In turn, to function in the new normal, organizations will need to create a global, diverse, and agile workforce through a culture of belonging and a scalable talent model.
Among the problems that companies encountered when implementing diversity policies are:
- Inability to attract candidates from disadvantaged groups (44%)
- Recruiter biases (41%)
- Lack of qualified talent from disadvantaged groups (38%)
- Problems with workplace culture (33%)
- Lack of resources and support from managers/directors (26%)
- Insufficient data and success criteria (17%)
“Organizations have to build a workplace that not only takes into account diversity in employees, but also makes them feel valued regardless of their origins and preferences.“said Gustavo Aguilera, director of Talent Solutions and People & Culture of ManpowerGroup Argentina.
He added: “Those companies that can successfully rethink their workforce and workplace will be able to optimize all human potential.”
