The president made these statements at the start of the construction of the lithium brine plant of the Mariana project, which he led in the halls of the Hotel Alejandro I, in the capital of Salta, next to the Vice President of Ganfeng Lithium, Xiaoshen Wang; and the CEO and president of Litio Minera Argentina SA, Jason Luo.

“We want Salta to be a worldwide example of sustainable development”, emphasized Sáenz and listed the main points of work: environmental care, job creation for the people of Salta, strengthening and growth of the local business network; and improvement of the infrastructure of the Los Andes department.

This investment will allow the creation of 1,700 jobs for the people of Salta, and another plant is planned in the Industrial Park of the town of General Güemes, which is 55 kilometers from Salta Capital, with which an annual production of 20,000 tons of carbonate is expected. lithium for export.

For his part, the vice president of Ganfeng explained that the Chinese firm is investing in the plant for the product used “in batteries for electric vehicles with solar energy in northern Argentina.”

Meanwhile, the CEO of Litio Minera Argentina highlighted that they work with design engineering companies, with international standards, to create high-quality lithium projects that save energy and respect the environment.
