Inflation in May was 4.7% per month, according to Ferreres

As for the main items, Home equipment and Health led the month’s increasesregistering a monthly increase of 6.5%, followed by Miscellaneous Goods, which presented a positive variation of 6.1%.

In relation to the core measurement, it had a variation of 5.2% and in annual terms it registered a rise of 57.7%. Regarding Seasonal goods and services, these registered a monthly variation of 1.6%, while Regulated goods rose 4.8% monthly.

It should be noted that inflation was 6% in April, as reported by INDEC last month. In this way, although it slowed down compared to March, it remained at high levels and accumulated 58% in the last 12 months, a record since 1992.

One of the most worrying issues of the INDEC data was that Core inflation, which takes neither government-regulated segments nor seasonal factors into account, accelerated for the third consecutive month to 6.7%.
