For its part, the volume of vehicles exported during May amounted to 26,781 units, which showed a drop of 2.4% compared to April. If the comparison is against the same month of 2021, the sector registered an increase of 34.4% in shipments.
In turn, it was reported that, in the first five months of the year, 108,157 vehicles were exportedthat is, an improvement of 27% compared to the same period last year when 85,140 units were shipped to various markets.
Regarding the May data, the sector sold 33,730 units to its dealer network, 9.3% more than in April and an advance of 20.4% in its comparison with May of last year.
Thus, the accumulated from January to May showed that wholesale sales (dealers) reached 143,997 unitsthat is, 0.2% less compared to the same period of 2021 in which 144,239 vehicles were sold.
