What Campos said about the Argentine economy

Campos warned that “Maintaining permanent public deficits has always been one of the main causes of high inflation and our underdevelopment”and in this sense, considered that fiscal sustainability “It is essential to avoid instability and recurring crises.”

The leader maintained, on the other hand, that Argentina must have a “currency respected by citizens and a basic requirement for this is that public accounts are balanced”while adding: “We must recover monetary legitimacy through a broad and consensual economic agreement.”

Jaime Campos also stated that “The scope of private companies must be respected. In this sense, the interference of the State in business decision-making, as in price controls, does not boost the country’s economy.”

In his opinion, the country “must be prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that exist in various economic aspects, which have increased due to the changes that have taken place in the international system.” For this, he highlighted the need to have “Clear rules of the game that provide predictability to investors.”

Campos also pointed out: “The only way to generate more employment and income and go towards sustained development is through allowing and stimulating the energies of the private sector to undertake, develop new projects, invest and conquer foreign markets.”
