In this framework, the spokeswoman Cerruti advanced how the segmentation will be: “Three scales are planned: one with a social rate, another with an increase of no more than 80% of the Salary Variation Coefficient and a third that will pay the full rate,” he explained.
The spokeswoman indicated how the three sectors in which the segmentation will be determined are made up. In relation to the sector that will pay the full or total rate, he said: “We estimate that it is a very small group of the population, which will reach 10%, who have at least 3.5 incomes of the basic basket set by the Indec, or who own three cars or three properties, or own a yacht or a plane, ”he explained at the conference about the group that will no longer receive a subsidy on the utility bill.
“This segment will have to pay the full rate. While the other two social rate segments and the intermediate sector will not have increases,” Cerruti remarked this Thursday. He clarified that those who are within the framework of social rate coverage -such as retirees, pensioners among other plans and allowances- “cannot have an increase that exceeds 40% of the coefficient of the Minimum Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM)”.
While the intermediate sector “will not be able to increase more than 80% of the salary coefficient of the SMVM,” the government spokesperson emphasized this Thursday. In other words, both the sector that receives social tariffs and the intermediate sector “are not going to have a new increase in the year, which represents around 90% of the population,” specified Gabriela Cerruti.
On the other hand, in the case of the sector that will pay the full rate, the increases “will be prorated between now and the end of the year, adjusting the rate,” he said.
