He clarified that those who are within the framework of social rate coverage -such as retirees, pensioners among other plans and allowances- “cannot have an increase that exceeds 40% of the coefficient of the Minimum Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM)”.

While the intermediate sector “will not be able to increase more than 80% of the salary coefficient of the SMVM,” the government spokesperson emphasized this Thursday. In other words, both the sector that receives social tariffs and the intermediate sector “are not going to have a new increase in the year, which represents around 90% of the population,” specified Gabriela Cerruti.

On the other hand, in the case of the sector that will pay the full rate, the increases “will be prorated between now and the end of the year, adjusting the rate,” he said.

According to Decree 332/2022 published today in the Official Gazette, the segmentation of subsidies for electricity and gas will be in three groups:

Tier 1 or higher income

These are users who will be responsible for the full cost of the energy component of the respective service. For them you must meet at least one of the following conditions:

  • Net monthly income greater than a value equivalent to three and a half (3.5) Total Basic Baskets (CBT) for a household according to Indec. That basket, according to the values ​​of May 2022, is $95,260.37 and is updated every month. Then, the holder of the service who earns $333,411 per month will no longer receive a subsidy.
  • Be owners of three (3) or more automobiles less than five (5) years old. c. Be owners of three (3) or more properties.
  • Be holders of one (1) or more luxury aircraft or vessels according to the type applicable by AFIP.
  • Be holders of corporate assets that show full economic capacity.

Tier 2 or lowest income

Those users of the total country will have annual increases that may not exceed 40% of the Salary Variation Coefficient (CVS) of the previous year. They must meet the following parameters:

  • Net income less than a value equivalent to one (1) Total Basic Basket (CBT) for a household according to the Indec.
  • Being a member of the household with a Housing Certificate (ReNaBaP)
  • Certify address where a community dining room or picnic area registered with RENACOM operates.
  • At least one member of the household has a Lifetime Pension for War Veterans of the South Atlantic.
  • At least one member has a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority and, considering the members of the household as a whole, have a net income of less than a value equivalent to one and a half (1.5) Total Basic Baskets (CBT) for a home according to the Indec.

Tier 3 or middle income

They are those users not included in Levels 1 and 2, who will have increases in the energy component of up to 80% of the Salary Variation Coefficient (CVS) of the previous year. They must meet the following requirements:

  • Owners of two (2) or more properties, considering the members of the household as a whole.
  • Owners of one (1) vehicle up to three (3) years old, except for households where there is at least one cohabitant with Unique Certificate of Disability (CUD).
