Health and nursing students are to receive 600 euros per month in the future, according to one of the measures of the recently announced nursing billion. A great financial help for the bachelor students at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions in Upper Austria, but also a sign of appreciation.
“I’m really happy about the future training subsidy,” says Anna Raab, who is currently studying in her fourth semester. “I just hope that this will be paid out as early as next fall, so that I can still have some of it in my final year of study.”
hoped-for motivation
Natalie Huber, also a fourth-semester student of health and nursing, is also happy about the measures announced by the government. During her internships in hospitals and retirement and nursing homes, she has already felt the shortage of staff several times. “Hopefully, the promised measures will motivate many people to become more enthusiastic about the nursing profession. It’s nice that this varied profession is finally experiencing the hoped-for upgrading and that you can also afford a little more in your free time in addition to your studies.” She would choose her training path again at any time, even without financial support.
The students are convinced that for all those who still want to use the opportunity to apply until August 15, the bonus might also be an additional incentive to pursue this wonderful career. “A job that demands a lot, but gives a lot more in return.”
