Specifically, Thursday, prior to the start of the long weekend, was the day with the highest growth compared to Father’s Day week 2021 with an increase in transactions of 30%.
“In the items with the highest volume in the week of Father’s Day, Clothing had a growth of 20%, Home Equipment 10%, Tourism exceeded 100% and Restaurants 40%, all in transactions compared to the previous year”, the report noted.
“This year, Father’s Day sales were driven by debit card purchases, which grew 20% in transactions and 80% in volume. In terms of financed sales, the plans that grew the most were those of 3 and 6 quotas, closely associated with the sale of Clothing, which grew 20%”, commented Emiliano Porciani, Chief Commercial Officer of Prisma Means of Payment.
In addition, the provinces with the highest growth in transactions in the Clothing category were Santiago del Estero (+70%), Catamarca (70%), Córdoba (50%) and Neuquén (45%).
Regarding the growth of transactions in Tourism, the increase in operations was higher than two digits throughout the country, although the provinces that stood out the most were La Rioja, Formosa, Corrientes, Mendoza, Santiago del Estero and Catamarca, all with increases of three digits in transactions compared to 2021.
