they condone tax debts to $27 thousand enterprises of the popular economy

“When Axel Kicillof took office as governor, he sought to repair the damage caused by neoliberal policies, within the framework of a development project focused on the growth of production and inclusion through the creation of local and quality jobs. With With this objective, from ARBA and the Ministry of Labor we advance in a joint agenda to add tax benefits, simplify procedures and offer these self-managed ventures the possibility of growing and formalizing”, Girard highlighted.

This measure between both organizations made it possible to extend the Gross Income exemption from 1 to 4 years, which benefits those who work in self-employment and subsistence activities.

At the same time, advances in tax simplification, training actions for beneficiaries of the ALAS Law and active monitoring of each case will help prevent future delinquency situations.

In this sense, the Minister of Labor, Mara Ruiz Malec, stressed that “hard work is being done so that they reach all and all of these exemptions”, and said that the government “carries out actions to promote the full formalization and strengthening of all the units productive, especially including issues of tax literacy and emphasizing self-managed undertakings”.

“The lack of support from the State to small productive enterprises during the previous years, generated a debt for the workers, which led to many problems and that implied the impossibility of accessing other benefits or benefits,” said Ruiz Malec.

The 27,300 popular enterprises that now receive the tax benefit accumulated debts, especially between 2016 and 2019, when they lost the Gross Income exemption, which at that time only lasted one year.

According to the Resolution 15/22 of ARBA published today in the Official bulletin, together with the forgiveness that covers all debts of Gross Income, which includes interest and fines registered by taxpayers of the ALAS Law as of December 31, 2020, the claims will be extinguished by judicial means in those cases in which they had been initiated collection actions.

The procedure that extinguishes the debts was established by Law 15,226 (Tax for the year 2021) and operates ex officio, that is, it applies automatically without the need for any management, and if for any reason someone who works in the context of ALAS is left out of the benefit, you can request its inclusion through a digital procedure that is carried out on the ARBA website.

The forgiveness of debts complements the set of actions that the Province has implemented in the last two years to facilitate the labor and productive reinsertion of the sectors included in Provincial Law 13,136.

This rule, called ALAS, has been in force since 2007 in Buenos Aires and provides different benefits for those who work in the social economy. Those who access them must renew their registration in the Single Provincial Registry of Economic Units of Self-Employment and Subsistence Labor Activities, and at the same time submit sworn statements to ARBA.
