“June was another month of significant growth for motorcycles and it is glimpsed that the behavior of the market will continue to rise, beyond the problem of imports both in units and parts,” said the President of the Motor Vehicles Division of Acara, Horacio Jack.
In a statement, the manager projected “25% growth for this year,” which would complete “a floor of 470,000 units.”
The Credit Boost
“In this sector, financing continues to make the big difference,” remarked Jack, who gave the example of Banco Nación’s “Mi Moto” program, which he promised to continue, in addition to “insisting on measures that improve the release of imports and add financing options, as we are requesting from the entire sector”.
Acara highlighted some modifications regarding the participation of patents by brand, a classification in which Honda continues to lead, with 6,775 units, followed by Corven, which, with 4,834 motor vehicles, surpasses Zanella, which also climbed to the third step with 4,554 cases.
Motomel, which was in second place for many months, now fell to fourth position with 4,303 and Gilera, which was third a few months ago, closes the batch of the top five brands with 3,546.
As for the most patented model, the first step is occupied by the Honda Wave 110, the historical leader of previous years that had fallen to fourth position, but recovered; followed by the Corven Energy 110 that climbed two positions and remains for the second consecutive month.
Third was the Gilera Smash, which led for much of last year, fourth the Motomel B110, and closes the list of the five most patented models the Zanella ZB 110, which was in sixth position last month.
