The Dax fell in early trading by 0.09 percent to 12,832.03 points. On Wednesday and Thursday, the leading index rose by around 3.5 percent after falling to its lowest level in a year and a half on Tuesday. The MDax of medium-sized stocks fell by 0.67 percent on Friday morning to 25,687.62 points. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx 50, fell by around 0.2 percent.

In Germany, the gas crisis remains the focus of investors: the maintenance-related shutdown of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline is scheduled to begin on Monday. Therefore, the situation of Uniper remains in focus. According to its own statements, the energy supplier has only received 40 percent of the contractually guaranteed gas quantities from the Russian Gazprom since mid-June and has to procure replacement quantities on the market at significantly higher prices. Therefore, the management recently cashed in on its annual targets.

According to a press report, due to Uniper’s financially precarious situation, the federal government is considering a higher stake in the power plant operator than previously thought. In the afternoon, Uniper wants to comment on the possible effects of the amended Energy Security Act and the necessary next steps. Uniper shares, which have been badly hit for months, fell 5.2 percent in early trading after rising 9 percent the day before.

The papers of TAG Immobilien lost 9.2 percent to 9.84 euros after a resolved capital increase as the MDax tail light. The measure serves to refinance the takeover of the Polish company Robyg.

Nordex titles recently lost 1.6 percent. The wind turbine manufacturer received an order to supply and install 80 turbines for a 456 MW wind farm in Brazil. The day before, the Rostock-based company had already reported orders from Finland and announced that it had received orders for systems with a capacity of 1.8 gigawatts in the second quarter.
