The municipality of Odemira ends next Sunday, the 10th, the Gastronomy Week of Fish and Seafood, an initiative involving 17 restaurants in the localities of Almograve, Longueira, Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes and Zambujeira do Mar.

Offers range from seafood and fish from the coast to stingray fricassee, pampo fish steaks, alentejo fish soup, seafood or cataplana fish.
Meals are available at Pátio Alentejano, 100 Espinhas, HS Milfontes – Panoramic Restaurant, Porto das Barcas, Tasca do Celso, A Fateixa and Alento (Vila Nova de Milfontes), Oasis (on Furnas Mar beach), João da Longueira (Longueira), Sabores e Mar (Almograve), O Tarro and O Escondidinho do Poço (Odemira), Sacas, Marisqueira Servejaria o ‘I’, Costa Alentejana and Sol Durado (Zambujeira- du Mar).
The Saloio Caracol festival will run until the 17th of this month at Parque Verde at LoureShopping in Infantado. With free admission, the initiative is complemented by an offer of street food and handicrafts, and visitors can enjoy musical shows.

The event is attended by nine taverns representing the restaurants of the municipality of Loures.
In terms of offerings, Chili de Caracoleta, Pizza de Caracoleta, Feijoada de Caracoleta, Rissóis de Caracol or Pataniscas de Caracoleta are some of the specialties worth trying. There is no shortage of snail sweets and, of course, the traditional saucer of boiled snails.
