The company is currently making investments estimated at more than 800 million dollars in the El Mangrullo and Sierra Chata blocks, which allow it to increase its gas production and meet its commitments assumed in the Ar Gas Plan.
On the other hand, as far as generation is concerned, Pampa Energía plans to increase its installed capacity with the closure of the Combined Cycle of the Ensenada Barragán Thermal Power Plant that it has together with YPF, a work with an estimated investment of more than 220 million dollars.
In 2023 it will do so again through the expansion of its Pampa Energía III wind farm, which will add 81 megawatts of renewable energy to the Argentine electricity system and an estimated investment of more than 130 million dollars.

Coinciding with the placement of Pampa, the Capital Markets Report prepared by PwC Argentina highlighted that the energy sector had a strong role in financial issues in May, which registered their highest level so far this year. Thus, the amount placed in Negotiable Obligations in May tripled the amount in April. There were 23 issues of Negotiable Obligations with a total amount of almost 45,000 million pesos. In April the total amount had been about 16,000 million pesos. The energy sector represented 50% of emissions and 90% of the total amount issued.
“Financial issues with public offering in Argentina reached the maximum of the year. We registered a significant rebound in Negotiable Obligations with a strong role of companies in the energy sector. With examples of issuances by Refi Pampa SA and Pan American Energy, ONs have tripled their total amount compared to April”, commented Christian Torrado, Senior Manager of Structured Finance at PwC Argentina.
