10 key questions about the segmentation of electricity and gas rates

According to official sources, the measure seeks access fairer and more equitable to the energy services of Argentines. For this reason, the form makes it possible to identify the households that need the subsidy, taking into account that 90% of the country’s users are in the middle-income and lower-income segments, therefore they will continue to receive the subsidy.

These are the 10 key questions to sign up and not lose the subsidies:

1. When to complete the form?

In order to organize the registration, the first weeks of July must be charged according to the completion of the applicant’s DNI:

Yes. The Anses led by Fernanda Raverta will open its doors to attend this request in person. To complete the form in person, online shifts will be offered on the Anses website (https://www.anses.gob.ar/).

Anses sources specified that to request a face-to-face shift you have to go to the TUNOS section, then to where it says Face-to-Face Service Request Shift and then put on the new screen the search by shift “Gas Social Rate, Home Program and Cold Zone” , and there they can enter with the CUIL number and choose the day and time of care at the Comprehensive Care Unit (UDAI) closest to home.

They are households that declare to meet any of the following conditions, considering all the cohabitants:

  • Total monthly household income equal to or greater than $348,869 (3.5 basic baskets for a type 2 household according to INDEC).

Exception: for those households located in the district of Patagones (Buenos Aires), Chubut, La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz or Tierra del Fuego, A. and IAS, the total monthly income to belong to the highest income segment must be equivalent or greater than $425,620.

  • Have 3 or more vehicles less than 5 years old.

The high-income segment will have a gradual reduction in subsidies in thirds every two months until they reach full coverage of the cost of energy by the end of 2022.

MIDDLE INCOME SEGMENT:

They are those households that are not within the highest income segment and meet any of the following conditions:

  • Total monthly income between $99,677 and $348,869 (between 1 and 3.5 basic baskets for a type 2 household according to INDEC).

LOWER INCOME SEGMENT:

These are households that, considering the members of the household as a whole, meet any of the following conditions.

  • Net income less than $99,677 (1 total basic basket for a type 2 household according to INDEC).
