AFIP strengthens control in tourist centers

The “Operating Winter 2022” will cover the recreational activities and ski resorts of Mendoza, Neuquén, Chubut and Río Negro. Also in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Tucumán, San Juan, San Luis, Salta and La Rioja where the controls will focus on shops, gastronomy and accommodation.

The inspectors will “electronic and face-to-face verifications on the invoicing of the firms, on the payment of taxes and the means of collection and compliance with the registration obligations of the employees”.

These actions by the AFiP allowed in the summer “dismantle and sanction evasion maneuvers and situations of job insecurity”.

As reported by the agency, detected differences of up to 150% between observed and declared sales, with the main offenders being restaurants, breweries and bars.

Likewise, they clarify, it was possible to dismantle abusive maneuvers in spas, hotels, luxury accommodation, property rental companies, massive events and tourism companies with a high tax capacity.
