The GNR detained four youths suspected of being involved in a drug trafficking network in the Leiria region, the Leiria Territorial Command of the security forces said on Tuesday.
In a press release, Guarda reports that on July 13, through the Pombal Criminal Investigation Center, three men and a woman, aged between 20 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking in the municipalities of Anciao, Figueiro. dos Vinhos and Alvayasere, in the district of Leiria.
“During a drug trafficking investigation that lasted for about two years, it was established that the suspects were a network that was engaged in the acquisition of narcotic drugs and their subsequent packaging in individual doses, ready for sale and distribution to consumers, in the district of Leiria “. , the statement says.
As part of the investigation, a police operation was launched, culminating in four house searches and 11 vehicle searches, resulting in the seizure of 154 doses of hashish, 68 doses of cocaine, eight doses of cannabis and 2,350 euros in cash, among other materials related to the alleged trade people.
This action was calculated to reinforce the troops from the Leirian Intervention Detachment, GNR reported, saying that one of the detainees already had a conviction for theft.
The suspects were prosecuted and the facts brought to the attention of the judicial court of Leiria.
