A car caught fire on the A15 near Malaqueijo, Rio Mayor on Tuesday, shutting down traffic for about half an hour and sparking a wildfire that was put out by about 90 firefighters at 5:10 p.m.

According to the Santarém District Relief Command (CDOS), the fire in the car was reported at 2:44 pm, with traffic on Highway 15 in the direction of Rio Mayor/Santarém stopped until approximately 3:00 am. :22 pm when the band was open and GNR reported that it was fully normalized around 4:50 pm.
