CMTV topped the cable TV audience again and recorded the best week of July 11-17. During the state of emergency, when hundreds of firefighters battled the intense fires that devastated the country, the Portuguese decided to be constantly monitored by CMTV to keep up to date.
With a record average share of 6.38% and 132,000 viewers per minute, Correio da Manhã was well ahead of CNN and SIC Notícias. On average, more than 2,700,000 viewers connected to CMTV during the day, the highest number ever.
In July, the preferences of the Portuguese are clear: CMTV leads in cable news with an average share of 5.8%, ahead of CNN with 3.2% and SIC Notícias with 2.4%. RTP3 received an average share of 0.6%.
CMTV is available on Channel 8 on all platforms but does not broadcast on DTT. The results shown are the responsibility of GFK.
