Wahl-O-Mat starts
Still unsure which party to vote for in the federal elections on September 26th? The Wahl-O-Mat of the Federal Agency for Political Education could provide a remedy. It starts on September 2nd. With the app, eligible voters can check their political attitudes based on various theses. A version will also be published for the parliamentary elections in Berlin and for the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania – it will be available from Thursday.
DAX is expanded
More than 30 years after the launch of the most highly regarded German stock market barometer, an important change is due in September: The number of members will be increased from 30 to 40. Parental benefit is being reformed
Good news for parents: The reform of the parental allowance comes into force on September 1st. The law stipulates that mothers and fathers of premature babies will receive parental allowance for longer in future. In addition, the opportunities for part-time work while receiving parental allowance will be expanded.
New face for the ARD “Tagesthemen”
Viewers of the ARD “Tagesthemen” experience the premiere of Aline Abboud at the beginning of September. She becomes the third presenter alongside Caren Miosga and Ingo Zamperoni. The 33-year-old comes from ZDF and follows Pinar Atalay, who has switched to RTL, in “Tagesthemen”.
