Last week, metallurgical workers, from different sections of the province of Buenos Aires, Rosario and the Federal Capital, mobilized towards the headquarters of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Labor, demanding a “joint reopening” from the business sector.
The workers gathered early in the vicinity of the Plaza del Congreso, causing partial cuts to vehicular traffic, and from there they marched to the headquarters of Labor Relations, located at 100 Callao Avenue, in CABA.
Until then, the employer offer was 6 percent in August, 6 percent in September, 5 percent in October, another 5 percent in November, and the same percentages in January and February, according to union spokesmen.
Workers from different sections of the UOM participated in the protest, including San Nicolás, Morón, Quilmes, Rosario, La Plata, Federal Capital, San Miguel, San Martín, Vicente López, Morón, La Matanza, among others.
