“The self-sufficiency of food must not be jeopardized under any circumstances,” says the director of the farmers’ association, Wolfgang Wallner. Therefore, attempts are being made to prevent the Linz site from being switched to so-called “swing production” in the event of a sale, whereby the plant would be shut down in times of low fertilizer prices.
