After the corona crisis, Germans like to travel again. That applies to the summer. But even in autumn, many people want to pack their things again.
According to an analysis, high inflation has not curbed people’s desire to travel in Germany so far. The booking turnover achieved in travel agencies and on online travel portals in June exceeded the strong month of the previous year by 14 percent, as the analysis company TDA announced on Friday.
The deficit of the entire summer season compared to the pre-corona year 2019 was further reduced and totaled only 7 percent. According to the information, the autumn holidays are already booked relatively well. October is currently only a relatively small gap of 5 percent compared to the level before the pandemic.
