What do ambitious professional goals have to do with extreme sports? In order to get to the South Pole without help, to conquer Mount Everest and K2, you have to use your full potential, says Anja Blacha: “Mental strength, resilience and risk management are crucial, in business and in sports.”
The extreme athlete knows what she is talking about: She is the woman who has completed the longest polar expedition to the South Pole – alone, with a sled weighing more than 100 kilograms, 1400 kilometers through the Antarctic in 58 days. In 2017, she was the first German woman to climb K2 without bottled oxygen, and also the youngest German to climb Mount Everest. She has also climbed the seven highest mountains in the world.
Powerful, customized
At the next edition of the OÖN Business Academy, Anja Blacha will give insights into her eventful life. Her motto is: “Think big.” Thinking big and tackling challenging goals is part of their success. She will also address the questions of how we can maintain and develop the will to implement and perseverance even under the most adverse circumstances and how we can manage to remain efficient and adapted, even if we are challenged anew every day and cannot control everything.
The Business Academy will take place on Tuesday, August 9th at the Metzenhof Golf Club in Kronstorf. Start is at 6.30 p.m. Registrations are possible at nachrichten.at/wirtschaftsakademie, by e-mail to wirtschaftsakademie@nachrichten.at and by phone at 0732/7805-800.
