After the meeting, the ambassador stated: “We had a great opportunity to learn about Vista’s operations and projects in Neuquén. In just four years, it has become a major player in Vaca Muerta and has a plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2026. It is a brilliant company.”
Galuccio described the meeting “as very valuable because it demonstrates not only the strategic relevance of Vaca Muerta for Argentina but also for the world”, and added: “Ambassador Marc Stanley’s visit confirms the international community’s interest in betting on development and growth of Dead Cow. For this reason, it is key to make every effort as a country to value the unique opportunity that the formation of becoming a world energy exporting power represents.”
During the day, Vista delved into the announcements it made to the markets about the acceleration of its projects in Vaca Muerta, and the increase in projections for 2022, which include increased production and activity in its areas, and an increase in Adjusted EBITDA from 625 million dollars to 725 million.
Vista’s decarbonization plan for 2022 was also a highlight of the meeting. The company described its roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2026. In addition, they highlighted the portfolio of solutions based on nature (or Natural Based Solutions for its acronym in English) that the company began to deploy as part of the strategy .
