With the increase of 15.53% foreseen by the mobility formula, announced this Wednesday by Raverta together with the Minister of Economy, Serge Massa, the minimum pension will go from $37,525 to $50,353 starting in Septemberwhile the two minimum pensions will increase from $75,050 to $90,705.
To this increase, which reaches 16 million retirees, will be added a monthly reinforcement of up to $7,000 pesos to be paid in September, October and November until the next increase due to mobility planned for December.

Said reinforcement reaches 6.1 million people, almost 85% of all pensions, and will gradually decrease to $4,000, an amount that will be charged by those with incomes of up to two minimum salaries.
In a thread on his Twitter account, Massa detailed yesterday that the reinforcement will be financed “maintaining order in the accounts due to the increase represented by the advance of the Income Tax.”

“With this quarterly increase we can say that minimum pensions increased above inflation by almost 8 points, 7.9%”highlighted the director of Anses.
After which, he added: “In this way, we are always with a proposal so that retirees can be calm that the commitment we assume of the purchasing power in their assets we do not stop fulfilling.”
He also stressed that, with this increase, “No retiree in Argentina has income for less than $50,000 and that is important to us.”
“Here it is important to say that when we know we have a problem, in this case inflation, there always has to be a response that solves that problem because governments have that responsibility,” he added.

Finally, Raverta reiterated that the pension system contributes to the “virtuous circle of the economy”.
“When we put money into retirees or into the boys and girls of the family allowance, we are putting money that goes to consumption and consumption, as we know, moves the economy and that things are better,” concluded the official.
