The government returned this Friday to set maximum prices for bottled gas, as has already happened during the covid-19 pandemic, specifying that the maximum price for a 13-kilogram (kg) bottle will be 29.47 euros.
According to the diploma published this Friday in Diário da República (DR), the government has taken into account the proposal of the Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE) and the opinion of the Competition Authority.
In this sense, the executive branch has determined that a bottle of T3 butane gas will cost a maximum of 2267 euros per kg with taxes. Thus, a bottle weighing 13 kg will have a maximum price of 29.47 euros.
In turn, propane LPG type T3 will cost up to 2646 euros per kg, and the maximum in type T5 is fixed at 2424 euros per kg.
The manager noted that monthly fluctuations are calculated and published on the ERSE website, and that “delivery service costs” can only be added to these maximum prices if bottles are purchased by phone or electronically and are not available at the point of sale. sales.
Supply stations and other points of sale of LPG cylinders must “guarantee a continuous supply” of cylinders, “namely those types covered by the fixed price”, as stated in the decree signed by the Ministers of Economy João Neves and for Environment and Energy, João Galamba.
Compliance with these restrictions is subject to verification by the National Energy Sector Authority (ENSE) and the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE), as well as other authorities with authority in this area.
The relevant regulation comes into force on Saturday, but the agreed price is applied on the third day after the entry into force of this regulation and until October 31, 2022, this period may be extended if the situation requires it.
“In the event of a corresponding change in the international quotation revealed by ERSE in the period indicated in the previous issue, the members of the Government responsible for the fields of economy and energy may determine new regulated prices that will be applied to the remaining days of the current month in accordance with the legal regulations specified in previous article,” the diploma reads.
