“In this way, and by order of justice, The exchange of information between the FIU and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen) of the United States begins to investigate in an articulated and coordinated manner these crimes that harm the National State“, added the Minister of Economy.
Days ago, Massa had highlighted that the AFIP was carrying out the procedure of informing 722 companieswhere the Argentine State detected irregularities in foreign trade, with triangulation maneuvers considered fraudulent.
“There are 722 companies that are being informed. The damage to the State is almost 1,000 million dollars,” in “mechanisms of abuse with underinvoicing of exports and overinvoicing of imports,” the minister said a few days ago.
On August 3, Massa announced, among other measures, that cases of under-invoicing of exports and over-invoicing of imports would be reported to the Argentine Justice and the anti-money laundering unit of the United States. and that a registry was opened for 60 days so that the detected cases can rectify their position in Customs, before continuing with the judicial process.
