“The sector showed its willingness to collaborate in complying with the agreements and promised to adjust the prices of the products that have not yet done so”assured the official on his Twitter account.
“In addition to jointly analyzing the way in which imports are being implemented in the sector, we call on the chambers to work on a new price agreement for medicines starting in September,” added Tombolini.
The meeting is along the same lines as the meeting that Economy Minister Sergio Massa will hold with executives from the main mass consumption companies, in a context where food inflation will again exceed 6% in August.
As confirmed by Ámbito, Miguel Ángel Pesce, president of the Central Bank, will be present at the meeting for companies’ access to dollars for imports. Matías Tombolini will also participate.
The meeting will be this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Ministry of Economy.
