The Ministry of Climate Protection is increasing the photovoltaic (PV) subsidy again and is making a further 55 million euros available. A total of 345 million euros are earmarked for PV systems for private individuals and companies this year. This is to ensure that all people who want to set up a PV system also receive funding, the ministry said. The current round started yesterday, Tuesday, with the third call for funding: For this, the volume was increased from 15 to 70 million euros.
Applications can be submitted since August 23. Projects that did not get a chance in previous rounds can be submitted again with just one click.
Call for funding guarantees
A total of 55,000 applications have already been approved this year. In the first round, the funding was 60 million euros, in the second round 70 million euros. The fourth round will take place on October 18th.
According to forecasts, the construction of photovoltaics with a total output of 1.6 gigawatt hours will be funded this year. The expansion is thus above the target specified in the Renewable Energy Expansion Act.
FPÖ spokesman for the environment Walter Rauch yesterday called for a PV funding guarantee “so that households also get what they were promised at the beginning”.
