Regarding the comparison with the previous month, there was an increase of 6.5% since 7,894 operations had been carried out in June.
On the other hand, with regard to mortgages, in the seventh month of the year 845 were registered, and in comparative terms, this represents a monthly increase of 1.68% (831 had been the total for June) and a year-on-year increase of 88% (449 in July 2021).
The Association pointed out that, in order to take a dimension of the current state of sales, the numbers registered in July were compared with the average of the same month between 2015 and 2019, that is, in the five years prior to the pandemic.
In this sense, the 8,413 operations last month are 9% below the average of the months of July of the aforementioned five years, in which an average of 9,261 sales were made.
Similarly, in the comparison of mortgages, the monthly values show a 40% drop compared to the average for July from 2015 to 2019, a value that was 1,419 operations.
In this framework, the authorities of the College of Notaries analyzed that the current statistics “continue to be far from the levels that could indicate the consolidation of the real estate market in the Province.”
“We see a slight increase in the numbers this month, but the general trend indicates a plateau in operations, with a complex situation in the future,” the president of the College of Notaries of the Province of Buenos Aires, Diego, warned the press. Leandro Molina.
Along those lines, he added: “Looking at the context and dynamics of the variables, It is not yet possible to speak of a recovered and consolidated market”.
