The Dax continued to rise on Friday ahead of a much-anticipated speech by US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. Thanks to good specifications from the USA and Asia, the leading German index gained 0.46 percent to 13,333.32 points. The Dax tied in with the past two trading days.

The MDax of medium-sized companies rose in early trading by 0.41 percent to 26,178.22 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 rose by 0.6 percent.
Powell will be speaking at the Federal Reserve Symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this afternoon European time.
