The bicycle is in vogue as an urban means of transport. At the end of 2020, the legislator decided on tax advantages for company bicycles. However, “converting” the tax relief of the bike purchase price into monthly installments is complicated for employers. The couple Ann-Kathrin and Gerhard Mayrhofer digitally simplified this process with their start-up “LeaseMyBike”. “We make things easy,” says Gerhard Mayrhofer. Contracts, signatures and insurance are processed digitally, nothing has to be printed out. The employees look for a company bike online, then a monthly leasing rate is calculated, which is deducted from the gross salary. LeaseMyBike applied in the “Digital Start-ups” category.
Prize in five categories
Interested parties can also apply as “Digital Personality” and in the categories “Digital Commitment” and “Digital Transformation”. A prize will also be awarded for the “digital pioneer”. The winners are selected by an expert jury, which includes JKU professor Martina Mara.
After two years without an audience, the gala will take place on October 6th in the OÖN-Forum in the Promenaden Galerien in Linz. Applications are still possible until Saturday, September 3, at digitalos.nachrichten.at. Documents can be uploaded there.
