The founder and managing director of the Rossmann drugstore chain, Dirk Rossmann, is withdrawing from corporate business at the end of the month. His son Raoul Roßmann takes over as spokesman for the management.
Dirk Rossmann, founder and partner of Rossmann drugstores, will be retiring as the company’s managing director at the end of September. Dirk Rossmann GmbH announced this on Monday in Burgwedel near Hanover. He will retire from the business at the age of 75. According to the company, his younger son Raoul Rossmann, 36, will be spokesman for the Rossmann management.
Dirk Rossmann wants to devote himself to writing
The Rossmann family is continuing “a smooth handover of corporate responsibility,” announced the company. Raoul Rossmann has been responsible for and shaped the operative business of drugstores for several years, and has been Managing Director for Purchasing and Marketing since 2015. Alice Schardt-Rossmann, Michael Rybak and Peter Dreher remain on the management board.
Dirk Rossmann remains on the advisory board of the Rossmann drugstores as well as managing director and spokesman for Rossmann Beteiligungs GmbH, which is 100 percent family-owned by the shareholders Dirk Rossmann, Daniel Rossmann and Raoul Rossmann and holds a 60 percent share in the drugstores. In the future, he wants to devote himself increasingly to writing, the company announced.
